Treasurer
Megan Higley is a graduate research assistant for the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Her research focus is the heat transfer in used nuclear fuel casks. Her research has allowed her to travel and intern in Chicago, Illinois and Marseille, France where she got to collaborate with other researchers in her field. In her free time she likes hanging out with friends, playing tennis, and watching movies with her dogs. After she is finished with grad school, she would like to become an engineering professor and work with K-12 schools to foster excitement in math and engineering. |

Director of EventsRole and Responsibilities
Director of Events will be in charge of planning, maintaining, and assisting with Safety Trainings, Workshops, and future events ASME will plan. The Director of Events will work closely with the ASME president, vice president and treasurer to create events the club members of ASME would like to attend. Types of events the Responsibilities for the Director of Events:
Qualifications and Education Requirements The Director of Events will be given a small budget for every event and will be required to plan and purchase the needed equipment’s or materials. This position requires knowledge in management, problem solving, networking, and planning. Proffered experiences are listed below:

Director of OutreachRole and Responsibilities
Director of Outreach will be in charge of planning, scheduling, and assisting with outreach events. These events may entail working with local schools, the Boys and Girls Club, after school programs, and/or other clubs. The Director of Outreach will work closely with the ASME president, vice president, treasurer, and Director of Events to help foster interest in STEM. Responsibilities for the Director of Outreach: • Working with local schools and organizations to bring engineering to students • Creating a budget and outline for outreach events • Developing STEM curriculum appropriate for the age of the students Qualifications and Education Requirements The Director of Outreach will be given a small budget for every event and will be required to plan and purchase the needed equipment’s or materials.
